How I grew my email list from

50 to 1500 new subscribers per month.

(and how you can do the same!)

Hey!

If you’re trying to figure out how in the HECK to monetize your biz and start cashing in on those 5k, 8k, 10k months (and beyond), then you’re gonna want in on this strategy.

I filmed this video a while ago but it’s still my TOP strategy so I’m bringing it back to life AND writing a whole new post for ya with how I continue to use this strategy and how I’ve updated it over time!

Hey girl. Ok, this might not seem like the most strategic first step (and if you’re left brained like me you’re gonna be hella tempted to skip it BUT PLS DON’T). I like to do this at the beginning of every year, I start by using my desire map to figure out how I want to feel, then create my big business goals based on those feels.

Choose your big goal now (it can be a feeling, OR a goal like “$100k year” or something like that)

Write it at the very top of your to-do list so that way you’re consistently clear on your goal and you’re not getting sidetracked by every shiny new idea, you’re focusing on what’s important.

step one: identify your target audience

If you want to create momentum in your business and avoid feeling overwhelmed AF then separate ALL your to-lists into manageable lists. I know this might sound weird but trust me, it works.

Here are my top three:

  • Daily – this list is for the things you need to do every single day. If you don’t know what the heck those things should be, check out this guide on the daily non negotiables.

  • Project – this list is for those BIG projects hanging out on your vision board. Maybe you want to launch a new podcast, create a course, have your first 20k launch, etc. Separate this from your daily to-do’s so you don’t feel overwhelmed.

  • Home – this is for everything else (like cleaning the cupboards and doing your laundry). As entrepreneurs who work from home, separating this is KEY to maximizing your productivity and staying on track.

step two: create your opt-in

If your to-do list is longer than the 8am starbucks line, I feel you.

This step can be harrrrd but it IS essential.

In order to avoid feeling overwhelmed, I need you to shorten each list to just 3 things. These are critical tasks that are of high importance and you only need 3 things on your daily list. When there are a million things on your list, you automatically go for the little things that you can cross off but #truthbomb, those don’t add up. Prioritizing your shortened to-do list is the best way to make sure you’re actually moving the needle toward your BIG goals.

step three: set up your landing page and automation funnel

If you read this and you’re tempted to say,

“no one can do it as good as me”

then imma need you to check your ego at the door sister. Even if you CAN do everything it doesn’t mean that you SHOULD.

Here’s the facts: you have a specific zone of genius and when you’re in that zone, then you’re in the sweet spot. My #1 goal is to be in that space for as long as possible every damn day and the best way to do this is to d-e-l-e-g-a-t-e.

Here’s how to get started:

Circle the things on the to-do list that you just don’t wanna do and start thinking about who you can delegate that to! Simple as that.

step four: Design your pins

step five: Get pinning!

BONUS: Using your pins, set up ads

Ahhhh, project plans, my LOVE, and one of the most exciting parts of entrepreneurship, if you’re not using PROJECT PLANS… giiiiirl, I’m about to rock your world.

Ok, so let’s say your big project goal is to launch a podcast.

I want you to find out every single thing you need to do to launch that podcast and write your crazy- long list.

Next, re-organize the list in order of priority including even the smallest things.. Like:

  • Reach out to my friend who has a podcast for help

  • Brainstorm podcast name

  • Record first episode

  • Etc

Then, next to each thing, write how long it will take, making sure you’re being suuupes generous with that time.

Then, I want you to write deadlines. Part of stepping into the entrepreneur mindset is actually doing what you say you’re going to do WHEN you say you’re gonna do it.

Lastly, schedule that ish in your calendar and get. it. done.

Boom, you have a project plan – you fancy huh?

step six: use the pomodoro technique

The Pomodoro technique is one of my FAVORITE tools for staying laser focused and getting things done in a short amount of time.

Basically, the theory is that we can only really focus for 25 minutes at a time. So turn off all distractions, put your phone on airplane mode, set your timer, and go to town on your biggest task. Once the 25 minutes is up, rest for 5 minutes, then go at it again.

Trust me, you’ll blow your friggin mind with how much you can get done in no time. #productiveAF.

And because I know you’re BUZZING with this productive energy, I created this workbook to walk you through each step and help you zone in on your big goals ASAP. Let’s get rockin’ babe.
